This is my first season following F1 and I'm absolutely hooked. There is one thing confusing me, and I'm sorry if it's a silly question.
It is well known by now that part of the Mercedes' domination comes from the fact that they split the turbo from the compressor. Is this also the case with all the engines supplied to the other teams?
If it is only the AMG Petronas team that has the split turbo, then it seems pretty unfair that their customer teams do not get the same advantage. I don't know if I am making the wrong assumption here, but hearing Mercedes over and over again, it gets a little confusing trying to distinguish between Mercedes the engine manufacturer and Mercedes the racing team.
