Is that engine in the second model SLK? Was looking at the SLK 200 which is a 1.8 engine .Avoid cars fitted with the M271 engine (petrol, 1.6/1.8L, 4-cyl), unless the timing gear has been replaced.
According to Wikipedia it was fitted to the SLK as of 2002:Is that engine in the second model SLK? Was looking at the SLK 200 which is a 1.8 engine .

Mercedes-Benz M271 engine - Wikipedia
The M271 was superseded by the M274 as of 2013.
