Newbie to site just need a bit of advice

It's not the little fan at the front it's the big one behind this must be putting a load on the electrics all the time and making dip but y would the fan be on all the time?? If I'm sure what I'm saying is right???

Thinking back I was stuck in traffic for over an hour the other day and the temp guage stayed between. 40 and 80 and never went up don't know if it's cos it's cold but I don't think that's normal lol

Yeah coolant level full to right level ted

Just now as I noticed my fan was constantly on and the guage was sat at between 40 and 80

As ITU has suggested it sounds like you may have a faulty stat, but I can't see how that and the fan on could be related.

^ I had mine changed and I think it was about £80 or so. The engine temp reached 80-95 degrees quite quickly again as it should, and the cabin temperature was nice and warm again.

Is the heating quite cool in your car or can you make it get toasty hot easily?

I do a 20 minute journey in the morning to work and it takes that amount time for the heating to become luke warm even in traffic the heatings not roasting so u think get it changed??? And if I leave it till Monday next week will it damage the engine?
Thanks everyone!!!

Deffo get it changed, and it won't hurt to leave it for a week.
I don't think it will resolve the fan issue though.

Just outta interest there's 1 big fan and 2 little fans when i just start up In morning the big one spins continuous is this normal?? Do the 2 little fans cool the engine down if so they're not coming on an I was wrong all along lol

Well the big one doesn't seem on as such and doesn't make much noise like a motor going powering it up just going around like the belt or something lol sorry for my explanations can't explain it that well

I would just get a new thermostat fitted first, see if it fixes these issues, which it seems likely to. Then see about fans etc later, if they're still an issue.
