Newbie with a smart C207 2014

I live in the Wirral area of the North West, just joined, and look forward to reading everyone’s ideas and suggestion’.
first time owning a Mercedes ( although) second hand.
jobs done so far….
private plate ( treated by my wife)
added a CarPlay system, but kept the OEM screen
and recently had the windows tinted (20%) to the rear sides including rear quarter light( pig of a job) and of course the rear glass.
I have had an issue with water sloshing and it seems to have been sorted by a mechy pal of mine.

Hi,
Couldn’t tell you the type, it was an after market box that’s hidden behind the dash.
It was fitted by Icebox auto.
The system is supposed to work as a plug in, or wireless.
However the wireless drops out often, so the plug-in option works.
There is a slight issue I am working through at the mo, over the screen going blank and back on.
A bit annoying but hopeful to getting resolved.
It is good for Google maps etc, and the whole CarPlay thing does work.
A lot cheaper than paying for a full Mercedes’ fit by about £800 TBH, but do your home work, if you want to keep the original set up.

Hi there and welcome! I have an A207 and really enjoy it. The water sloshing is common and is water trapped in the sills usually. Easy way to let it drain out is to drill through the plastic jacking pads that fit into holes in the sills. Probably what your mechanic has already done.
