Hi all,

I've just picked up a W203 220CDi estate and I'm really pleased with it. I'd like to fit my Parrot hands free kit but I need to know how to tell if the HU is D2b or MOST, please could someone enlighten me?

Its a 54 registration btw.

I'd also like to fit an ipod kit too,any suggestions?

Cheers.

Most ( DVD based)

How do you know it is DVD-based? I did not see the actual HU type mentioned, I guess it could be a basic CD based non-APS HU?

Anyway, considering Parrot installation, aren't you after the mute wire and possibly the speaker wires? That would depend on the amp, do you have Sound system or not? If it does not have sound system, you should find the necessary wires behind the HU.

Hi, thanks for the replies. The booklet that I received with the car describes the system as an Audio 20. I don't think it has any thing extra other than a cd changer and it definately doesn't use DVD's. So, I'm guessing that its D2B.

Cheers.

Honestly I don't know when MOST came to a W203 but it could well be by the time your car was built (I assume HughJarse actually has this info and he mentioned it would have MOST). On a W211 it was from the beginning, March 2002.

Again, this should not make a difference if you don't have sound system. You should then find all the necessary connections from the head unit connectors.

Sorry for some reason I thought you had a comand.
Your car is on the cusp of the changeover.
