Hi I just wanted everyone to know the really bad service I have received from the Edinburgh Newbridge dealership. After me E63 AMG was delivered there have been problems.
They overcharged me by £100 for the light up sills
The so-called valet was a complete mess.
The command screen was scratched
The AC display was scratched
The pins that hold the (7) rear seat belts were broken
The driver’s seat had a bleach spill mark

I have tried to sort the matter out with the dealership but according to them I caused all the damage and the sales manager “sniggered” at me when I spoke to him on the phone, I did point out that I would be willing to do a 600 mile round trip to kick his f***ing head in which seemed to make him calm down.I and a friend who went with me saw none of these faults when we went to see the car, the car was delivered to me late at night and due to work was a couple of weeks before I got to have a good look around it.

So all I can say DO NOT DEAL WITH THE NEWBRIDGE DEALERSHIP.
Ps the offered me £100, they can keep it as it seems they do not need anymore business, I will be on the look out for an R class in a few month and will be going back to Walthan Cross who gave a fantastic service when I bought my first e220cdi from them.

AGAIN DO NOT DEAL WITH EDINBURGH NEWBRIDGE.:devil::(

When I used to live in the East , the Newbridge branch of Western Automobile Co was the Mercedes Commercial (vans, trucks, buses) garage .

They also had a small 'trade sales' outlet which was for bargain trade in cars they did not wish to retail through the main dealership at Colinton Rd , but were still too good to put out to auction - I bought one of my W123's there .

I've also had nothing but excellent service from the two car branches in town ( Colinton Rd and off Gorgie Rd ) , my dad bought two new cars from them and I used them for parts and servicing on a number of my used cars - never any problems and helpful , friendly staff .

I had a worrying visit there yesterday....

I phoned the dealer after reading (somewhere!) on here that they had a wheel refurbishment service. My alloys were a bit shot, so I gave them a call. The guy I spoke to said they had a mobile guy that came round on demand so he gave him a call and got a quote for me. Im off on my holidays so I agreed to drop the car off yesterday for them to deal with when Im away and have a nice shiny car on my return.

I turned up yesterday to find that they had no record of my booking and after a bit of debate (to the point that I was almost convinced I was in the wrong garage!) I looked back on my mobile call log and showed them that they had phoned me back! The service girl stated that they dont actually do this service and would normally just give out the contact details of the alloy guy.

I eventually got my way and the car has been left with them, but I really am beginning to wonder about Mercedes main dealerships these days- Ive had nothing but incompetence since I bought this car...

I was there last week when they fixed my DAB radio and lubricated the door mirrors. The only issue I had was they dribbled some of the lube down the side and didnt call me back when I had phoned in the morning.

But yesterday, i noticed a dent in my passenger side door that I am absolutely convinced they did when it was parked with them. I am very careful not to park near anyone when in a carpark if I can help it and I know it wasnt there when I left it with them. Since collecting it last Monday I havnt parked it anywhere except my house so I intend giving them a call tomorrow.

Good luck they will not take blame its as simple as that, I forgot my engine was also covered in engine oil, again that seemed to be my fault. As for not having any record of your booking, they denined I had emailed them to report thr faults.

I'm sorry you were treated badly by Merc Edinburgh. I have the exact opposite to report. Car went for diagnosis Thurs and keys taken off me as they said car was dangerous to drive. Got it back this morning with new SBC pump and fluid change. Very pleasant girl on the phone and a personal word from the Warrany Manager. "No charge sir, thank you very much"

Can't fault that level of service anywhere. :bannana::bannana:

Well it almost went smoothly....

despite telling them several times that I was going on holiday, on the fourth day of my holiday abroad I get a mobile call asking why I havent collected my car. I reminded them of the fact that I was on holiday and got the response that they weren't aware of this.

When I arrived to collect the car today the Service girl asked how my holiday was and I said I was pleased that at least she had remembered...

The outside contractor that did the alloys made a cracking job though- £60 a wheel and they look pretty much brand new.
