Hi all,

New member from Yorkshire/Notts

I'm Pleased as punch with my MY07 CLK350 cab!p, but a little confused with my options re above.

I'm wanting to ideally Bluetooth calls and music with my phone tucked away and having access to menus etc, this is my set up so far:

So, I have the command (one with soft buttons down side of screen) my iPhone picks up some kind of Bluetooth UHI or something? But can't connect or make calls etc.

In the armrest there's is a little stubby connector thing but no cradle.

I've looked into the Fiscon Pro - Viseeo and the merc adapators. I've read about the MeV iPod adapators but can't see where I would plug it in?? (I have Aux in glovebox).

Any advice? Thanks in advance :thumb:

The CLK COMAND system was designed many years before iPod or bluetooth got popular. However there are solutions :)

Firstly, your car has the phone pre-wire - i know this because you say you can pick up some sort of bluetooth UHI systems. What you are seeing is the "privacy headset" facility (you can pair a headset with it) but not a bluetooth phone system. If you look in the top of the armrest there will be a half moon shape connector, possibly under a cover) - that is called the UHI connector and a phone cradle can plug into there (and I see you say you have this). There is a bluetooth phone cradle, either this (not Mercedes)

or this (Mercedes)

This will not give you any sort of bluetooth music streaming though

You probably have an AUX input in the glovebox, so could connect a lead there for AUX in. Or you can get a bluetooth->AUX adapter and wire that in and use that for bluetooth audio steaming. I say probably because although you have it not all cars do.

The alternative to all of the above is to replace the phone system and CD changer (if you have it) with a Fiscon Pro

That would give you bluetoth phone and bluetooth audio streaming (it pretends to be CD changer for that bit)

I hope that helps

Richard
