Hi.
I was wondering if someone could advise.
I have a w164 fitted with a ngt2 headunit.
This has a video button on the front and a green fakra socket on the back.
I have brought a fakra to RCA cable to try and put a video input through the fakra socket.
I have had no joy. I know the video has to be NTSC format but I am getting nothing on the screen.
Does the unit need to be enabled or something?

Thank you for any help you may be able to give.

Regards

Nicholas

Green fakra is either used for reverse camera or TV tuner.

When head unit is configured (with Star diagnosis) reverse camera comes on when reverse gear selected.

When head unit is configured for TV, then COMAND needs to see the TV tuner of the fibre optic network for the TV function to become available.

I.e you need a TV tuner or aftermarket TV kit that goes on the fibre network

Richard

ps. reverse camera is NTSC. TV tuner is not (for UK/Europe)
