...that`s the laptop, not me.

Toshiba laptop, Belkin wireless, Vista.
After sleeping the lappy is seeing the router but isn`t connecting to the internets - i`m getting really peeved seeing that bloody `limited conectivity/local only` icon and having to go upstairs and reboot the Belkin.
It seems like after waking the IP address isn`t being renewed?
Other PC`s and laptops seem to be mostly unaffected.
My laptop does it every day...

I`ve tried;
resetting router to factory defaults
updating firmware
updating network adapter driver
one or two other things that i can`t remember!

If i Google the problem i read dozens of similar problems with dozens of differing `solutions`.

This is a job for the wide and varied collective knowlege of MB Club members i thought.
What say thee?

Check for any stuff that's near the laptop that may be causing radio interference, this can range from mobile and wireless phones, digital photo frames, and power cables to household radiators.

Additionally, I recently changed my wifi adapter for one of these.. not had a single dropout since..

I seem to remember having this problem with an old laptop running Vista. It seemed the wireless adaptor never woke up probably.

Am upgrade to Windows 7 sorted it, although I have to admit I did not spend hours trying to resolve this.
