Hi
I replaced timing chain on my 2017 W906 sprinter. Put engine back in and now wont crank.
The first time I put the key in, it unlocked the steering and the dash came on as usual but it cranked very slowly and I heard a cracking sound inside the cab(sounded like a fuse blowing). I tried again, but I now have no crank, but the message brake force distribution appears on dash. I cannot hear the fuel pump starting.
I checked all fuses and relays both under seat and in footwell, all ok apart from some fuses have no power to them. these fuses are
fuse 19-horn
fuse 24-fuel pump/Circuit 87 engine control system
fuse 26-circuit 87 engine control
fuse 27-circuit 87 engine control
fuse 28-circuit 87 engine control
fuse 34-circuit 87 engine control
fuse 41 terminal 87 engine control system
I assumed that relay 7 (engine control unit relay) was the culprit, but ive taken it out and tested it with a battery. It clicks when i touch 86 and 85.
Im not very good with electrics, so am completely stumped.
Any help would be great, thanks.
