No crank no start

Hi have a problem with 2005 sprinter,as I was driving along it simple cut out.I coated to a halt,turn the ignition off,then turned the key to restart, everything seems normal with lights etc but when I turn to start nothing, the lights don't dip no click nothing. Had van towed back ,and while being towed tried to bump it nothing. I've gone through all fuses all ok checked the starter relay with multi meter it's fine,any ideas?

Sounds rather like the EIS circuit is faulty, although I'm surprised that it's able to fail whilst being driven
