HI all

I recently purchased a W204 Sport estate and within a week the Nav stopped working. Tried CDs and they don't work either. The radio works fine (once or twice went off for s second but came back though). It is the Audio 50, 6 Cd, 2010 plate. I think it is NTG4 (set in dash with cover that slides over).

The error message for CD and DVD is "No device connected".

Anyone else experienced similar or any ideas? Any thoughts appreciated.

Thanks

Steven

I should add that we tried a lens cleaning CD and also cleaned the Nav DVD with a proper spray cleaning solution.

I did wonder if this has affected it, but it wasn’t working in the first place so not the root cause and so ‘dirty lens’ is probably ruled out…

Sadly this sounds like an internal failure of the unit as they are all integral parts

You could try pulling the fuse out for 30 seconds, it may just reset it.

Do you have any warranty ? If you're going to replace the Audio-50, its worth considering putting COMAND in (full colour nav with bigger electric screen) but do have the additional cooling fans fitted, Mercedes would not have put them there for COMAND if they weren't needed.
