No excuse, a speeding ticket after 15 years.

One of the main reasons the speed cames (offical name, 'safety cams') are "not doing their job" in my view is, the cams are not always clearly marked and should be marked even more clearly if the real intention of putting up these cams was 'safety.' You will always get the 20%+ morons who could not give a f re rules and putting other people's lives at risk.
I'll put money on the camera that got me and thousands of others has done its job. I, and most likely everyone else who got caught will conciously keep below 30mph on that particular stretch if they have any sense. Eventually the message will get through. Take the camera away and its back to 30+mph.

Good to hear as you are a man who learns from your mistakes
.

May be I was not clear, Id the speed cams/safet cams were all very clearly marked along with the speed, people like me would find it easier to drive, ie i try to drive within the speed limit/road conditions but in new areas esepcialy where there are varations in limts etc, it would be much easir to see the dager area and speed limit for that area and that would in my judgement reduce the speeding offences in that area.

Checking one out at the weekend Brian;)
Hope it works out at the weekend…. “Selenite” perhaps…?

Watch your speed on the way home, they have a way of covering the miles whilst giving the impression of just “pootling” along…
