That's actually very cool

You'll also notice that there is no headlamp washer - I was sceptical but over the last 2 winters it wasn't missed !
Modern lights perform now better than the old fashioned fog lamps. No need to have a separate lamp with specific lens. It simplifies design and probably makes it cheaper
It's an MOT failure to not have washer jets for xenon lights how have modern cars got around that?.
Must be the difference between xenon's and Halogens / LED's
RickyBurrows said:Oh i just assumed it had xenon's every new car seems to have them especially Merc, I don't think I've seen a new Merc with halogen (not that I've took much notice).
It could be that the newer cars have led lamps rather than xenon?
Not sure, but it's something I've noticed too
Don't forget not that long ago one of us (not me!) posted that they didn't have headlamp wash on their particular car as instead of wash nozzles there were little blanking plates below the headlamps.
It was only when a kind and understanding forum member pointed out that the washers nozzles came out on stalks from behind those 'blanking plates' that the OP was enlightened
Is this one of those ?

Some still wait to jump out on you at traffic lights with a bucket of muddy water and a squeegee.

The only blanking plate is the tow hook. The 2015 C Class onward doesn't have headlamp wash, nor does the 2017 E Class
No, there are many cars out there where the jets for headlamp wash are on permanent view . Some of those are fixed and some of them extend on stalks.I thought that's how all washer jets were for headlamps my understanding was there all underneath a blanking plate?
