Hi,
Some will know my car has been off the road due to an accident last year. I have repaired it and now its back on road I have found I am getting no hot air inside. Also I work around 5-6 miles from work and the temp gauge barely moves. Any ideas?
I don't have aircon, but have the EC button. But makes no odds if its on or off.
Thanks in advance.

Perhaps the thermostat is stuck in the open position ?

That was my first thought. I can get one from work for around the £20 mark. Will give it a go.
Cheers

If you have the EC button then your car was fitted with AC.red light on Ac off.

Didn't know that, just thought it had duel climate control. So turning the EC on ( light on ) turns the air con off?

it has to be the stat easy change

check water level
check coolant
run car on idle for 15 min
if the engines shows no real temp change its the stat leave heating off during this

if engine gets how then turn on heater in car and if no heat is felt its the duo vales in front of the fuse box just follow the pipes in engine bay

Got a thermostat for work, Gates one ( TH36687G1 ) £18 ! Ordered a fresh temp sensor for it ( £9 ), And I have plenty of anti freeze , so that will be this weekends job when I get a chance.. Will keep you posted on if it sorts it or not. Anything else worth changing while I am doing it?

You could give the duo valves a bit of a tap with a small spanner whilst someone works the heating controls inside the car. Duo valves could be stuck but its unlikely. Could save you a heap of messing about though.

Took about 30 mins to do. Took plenty of pics while changing the stat. And will add a description to each pic ASAP. Got really good heat inside, which is needed as it is freezing at the mo moment. Thanks to you replies.
