Hello all, I don’t seem to be getting any demisting on the near side wing mirror on my 03 E55, I’ve removed glass and found to my suprise only one wire going to one of the two terminals that feed the element? Is this normal? I’ve looked around, but can only find the one wire, any help gladly received.

It should have two. Take the casing off and have a look for it. It will probably be there somewhere.

Thanks for info, I thought there needs to be two, couldn’t see it for the life of me, will take another look when I get a chance and report back. Odd that it’s come off, as the other terminal was on tight.

Could you remove the glass on the other side so you can see where that second wire goes to give you a clue on the missing side??

Yes, I may well do that, but going to take cover off to have a good dig around, thanks for response.

Took the cover off as suggested, and found other half of wire, broken clean off. Temporarily connected new piece of wire and terminal, reconnected but still getting code 9211 no continuity, so must be a break further inside door side, will have to investigate further at some point, thanks for everyone’s input.
