Hi guys. I've just bought a 2013 e250 and when I press the nav button it comes up no navigation. Does that mean it's not installed or do I have to do something .?? Any help would be very much appreciated. Cheers Andy

    Welcome to the Forum.

Where did you buy it from? Was it advertised as having Sat Nav? If you post the VIN someone here will be able to look up the data card for you

It wasn't specifically advertised as having sat nav but I would have thought a car like that would surely have sat nav. Am I being delusional lol. Will get the vin number tomorrow. If not can it be retrofitted does anyone know. And at what kind of cost ??

    Does the message say
    'Navigation module not connected'?

If so then your car might be fitted with the Audi20 Infotainment unit with the Becket Map Pilot pre-wiring.

This means that wiring for the SatNav is already in place, but the Navigation module itself needs to be purchased sperately, e.g.:

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Becker-Map-Pilot-Navigation-Mercedes/dp/B007T7QC7W/

Another possibility is that your car has the Garmin Map Pilot and needs this software uodate:

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/MERCEDES-Star1-GARMIN-Europe-A2189062903/dp/B079V13B65/

But the best way to find out is if you post your VIN - your datacard will show what your car has exactly.

I am assuming you did not ask before buying then?
If not fitted then I am sure it can be but no idea at what cost.

Second hand Becker Map Pilots go for about £130 on ebay, but would probably need a £80 map update if they are a few years old.

I didn't ask if it had it. Took it for a test drive and loved it. Tried the nav button and it just says ' NO NAVIGATION ' Salesman said he was sure the SD card was with the spare key which it wasn't. It's not the end of the world but I would really have like it. Apart from that the car is amazing

Hi, do you have a SD slot on the front of the unit where the volume control is? If so you most likely have the Command system in which case you should have sat nav.

I would go back to salesman and ask where that SD card is?

In that case open the glove box and check to see if you have a slot with pins in it. If so, then it's most likely a Becker module you need. Alternative best source of info is Alfie from Commamdonline.

I got a hold of the data card for my car. Turns out sat nav was not fitted.
What a bummer. The dealer gave me a new separate sat nav. Still disappointed though. Thanks for the time and help though guys
