No sound from speakers

Guys

I've a 2004 CLK55, and all has been well until today with the command system.
Started car, radio produced sound through the speakers, then went a bit odd and no sound anymore.

Command is still functioning ok, selects channels ok, just no sound.
Research talked about fuse 26 being the fault, but it would appear to be OK.
Seems that it could be connections on the amp.
How do you get at these?
Is it possible these could be the problem.
Also, disc changer in glove box is being reported as not being present.

fibre connection somewhere? (both amp & cd changer are connected optically)

OK.
Last week it got the stepper motor in the drivers foot well changed.
I rang the Merc specialist that did the job and ask had they taken command out to get at motor.
Radio wasn't out per se, but they were working around that area, so he says that they might have loosened something in error.
He said to bring the car to him tomorrow and he will check fuses and connections.

Sounds like a likely culprit! Fingers crossed it's a nice and easy fix.
