No window drop when opening drivers door

Afternoon,

2011 E250 convertible

Last week the drivers side window dropped down to half way point and would not go back up/stay up. I have tried the rest procedure a number of times but still doesn’t work. I managed to get it to stay up by pressing and holding the door lock function but this took 10-15 attempts. Now the rear quarter window will not close fully up to the front window. Now when opening the door the window should drop to avoid the rubber but no longer does.

Press down, hold button. 15 seconds, press up ,hold button 15 seconds , if window drops by 1cm , press up again ,hold button 15 seconds .

Tried this, the drivers window should drop when you pull the handle to open the door but this isn’t happening.

Chances are the motor will need recoding if the glass hasn't moved in it's runners ,and it's starting position and end position are the same.

Also read elsewhere, to try disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes can reset things, also inside the door itself is a pin switch just below the door handle ,than can need fixing .
