Hi guys, I've noticed that over the last few days that the fuel flap has become noisy when opening and closing the car. At first I thought it might be the locating pin snagging on the flap as it opens/closes, but having tried to eliminate this with the flap open and locking/unlocking it still persists.
The sound is like a clunk, and comes from roughly the 2 o'clock position in relation to the fuel flap. I did some reading on the internet, and I saw an actuator mentioned, but I would have guessed that this would be behind the sliding pin. Is there anything in the general area that the noise is coming from that could be the culprit? It may be a coincidence, but it only appeared over the weekend when the temperature dropped.
