Nokia 5800/ Viseeo 1000

Hello All,

Mrs E's Comand system has gone away for some TLC and when it returns I'd like to get everything working.

Her Nokia 5800 works fine making and receiving calls, but will not sync the phonebook to the Comand/ dash display.

We have no problem with the phonebook for her old 6300/ my iphone. IS the Nokia 5800 just incompatible, or is there a 'trick' I need to perform.

The 5800 is likely supporting the modern PBAP bluetooth profile and possibly does not support the old AT command interface. I thought ViseeO was quite capable of supporting different phone options, do you have their latest SW on the adapter?

i dont have a comand /dash desplay
but i do have a pioneer DEH-6100BT with Parrot bluetooth and a Nokia 5800 and i had the same problem!
i think i had to change an option in the bluetooth device settings and also put all my contacts off my sim to my phone memory

Nokia 5800 & Pioneer DEH-6100BT

Pioneer has told me that the 5800 is not in the list of compatibility and that I have to try it.

I have tried and... It doesn't work :-(

Thanks to all who replied. Have given up getting the phonebook to download onto the Viseeo from the Nokia 5800, would like to keep a nokia phone, with a few toys on, has anyone used and got the phonebook to download from the Nokia E75?

...Or any other suggestions on a new phone?

I had no mprobs with my old Nokia N95...Now using iphone.

I had a similair problem with Nokia phone...cant remember what model exactly....but kept a 6300 as an emergency phone that always worked fine.

Did you try the different switch settings on the unit, mine has some switches on the underside of the visseo unit...and did you update the firmware at all?

Thanks, yes have tried the switch settings, still no phonebook downloaded.

For what its worth have just fitted a BT adaptor to my W211 and tried my new Nokia X6, its functional to make and receive calls but doesn't load the phone book or recent in/out call memory. Any suggestions would be welcome.

It looks like you can update the firmware from www.viseeo.com.
I think you need to register and have a micro uSB cable, i guesss you would need to register your unit first, then they will send you a login.
