Help....In my S600 I have a Nokia 6230i hands free kit. In my W211 I have the telephone prewire and a Nokia 6310i cradle in the centre armrest. Therefore, when I change cars, I have to change phones.

So I thought that I would buy a 6230i cradle and it would fit the W211.

Before buying one I checked to make sure that the 6310i cradle in the W211 would unplug, allowing me to plug in the new 6230i cradle...... but it does not, the wire goes straight into the cradle.

It is a 2003 car and has the curly wire going into the back of the 6310i cradle directly without a plug.

Can I do anything to enable me to use one phone (6230i) without having to buy an expensive bluetooth adapter?

Can anyone, (maybe Alfie) help with this problem.

BTW the car is fitted with the Audio 50 APS Navigation.

Thanks

I'm afraid your W211 has the 380 phone kit where you cannot change cradles, it should be the UHI 386 kit. Some have found these "cheap" from eBay (not sure why someone is selling cheap, perhaps after changing to a new car with BT standard).

The ViseeO BT adapter would likely be the cheapest fix (excluding used, maybe even new, after market wired phone kits that don't integrate with the car).
