My wife wants a phone with a qwerty keypad and I can't get the Blackberry curve to work well with the SAP V2 in the car. Her trusty old Nokia 6730 works a treat and has the same bluetooth spec as the new C3. The C3 has lost the 'remote sim on' option in the menu so does anyone know if this phone will work in the car if we buy one?:dk:

Well it does work! After down loading the Nokia C3 manual, there is reference in it to the fact that the bluetooth supports SIM access. So I've bought it, paired it, and now have a happy wife.....for now;)

I just bought a sap V2 to go in my 2007 SL. got it to pair up ok, this it does automatically each time i get in the car, the command says "reading Sim" and i am not sure if it should be saying that all the time, the main problem is, i cannot seem to download my address book, it does the right things when i enter "0000" by switching its self on and off but after that the command just says reading sim and nothing is found in my address book, any one help?

I have looked everywhere to see if my phone is compatible with the V2 but my phone was only brought out last year and all the listing i can find are old, it is listed as being ok with the V3, do you think it may be the secondhand V2 i bought that is fault or a compatibility problem.
Any help gratefully received as i have spent hours in the cold trying to sort it out.

You'll have to tell us what your phone is!
Certainly the Nokia C3 (and all prevoius Nokias) will read 'downloading address book' as soon as the phone is in the car and COMAND on.

Sorry
Its a Nokia 3720 about 8 months old !

Have a look in the manual under bluetooth spec. The C3 said 'SIM access' amongst the features. Despite having no option to switch on 'remote SIM access, the phone works fully with the V2 Module.

Thanks, but it says "remote sim" [ or words to that effect] on the phone screen, i have just taken the sim card out of the phone and put it into the V2 cradle and the command still says reading sim, all other functions work fine apart from the phone book, which ever way i try it?
The other day i left it for half an hour reading the sim and it still said the same when i went back to it.
