I've gone and bust my phone. The screen cracked when I sat down with it in my back pocket, which also contained other objects which seem to have provided the pressure point sufficient to cause the crack.

No, I have not taken out mobile phone insurance. Can anyone advise what best to do to get it fixed ASAP?

Many thanks in advance.

What phone is it?

If spares are available and you're competent with the tools it could be an easy repair. I cracked the screen on my Xperia X10 in an accidental drop - new fascia and outer screen was £35 and it took me about 15 mins in total to swap over.

Assuming it's just the outer screen/digitiser, and not the LCD itself that is damaged, it's a sub-£30 part.

Yes, you're right. I have been looking on ebay this morning and there are several vendors with genuine Nokia digitisers for around the £25 mark.

On close inspection, there appears to be no damage to the LCD itself.

Thanks for your advice! :thumb:
