With my OCD, I like collecting part numbers for easy use at time of ordering new/replacements

Regarding pads and discs for my C63 coupe, I have these part numbers~

Front brake pads: A0074205920
Rear brake pads: A0074209320
Front discs: A0004212012 (360mm)
Rear discs: A2044230412 (330mm)

MB Newcastle on eBay are obviously recommended (just under £1000 all in) but I’m typing these part numbers into eurocarparts and getting this figure:
£1093 down to £711.06 all in
Brembo rear discs, Brembo rear pads, VM front discs, TRW front pads

Autodoc: £439.45 all in
Rear Brembo discs, rear Brembo pads, ATE front discs, Ferodo front pads

Am I being thick here, why the big price difference? Have I got the wrong part numbers or something... the ‘fitted’ quantity mention on Eurocarparts is confusing also

Someone please put me right before I go insane :wallbash:

On ECP the prices are per individual disc, but for a pair of pads

I did wonder this, it says ‘priced per axle’ but shows four pads in the picture

£113.99 TRW brake pad front
£83.99 Brembo brake pad rear

So on ECP I’d only need x1 quantity for each and that’s for a set of each (front and back)?

Tried changing quantities to x1 and it won’t even let me o_O quantities on pads start at 2 and up

Pads are sold per axle so a quantity of one is 4 pads to do both sides of either the front or rear.

Discs are sold individually so you need a quantity of two per axle.

Hmm with pads it only allows me to put in a quantity of 2. I’ll try and refill the basket and see if it works

Okay it works if I refill the basket from fresh! £447.97 all in

Autodoc seems cheaper

Cheers for the help guys :thumb: :)

£1000 all in is daylight robbery.
You'll get genuine Mercedes C63 front discs and pads for half that.

Be careful with the TRW pads. Yes they do make some good stuff in that group, but also some dross.

Anyone tried them?

That price is for genuine pads/discs from Mb Newcastle

Ah ok, sorry, I obviously didn't read your post properly.
I thought it was just the front

Ecp had a code for 50% off over Christmas on brakes. I think it's still running

They have constant ‘promotions’ a bit like DFS etc.

If the discount is 50% then the 'normal price' jumps up so you end up with a very similar amount of money off as a 20% discount day etc. It's just marketing.

I don’t like resurrecting old threads but seems just as good as making another for this topic, just wondering what the difference is here, I added up the MB Newcastle eBay prices for the following part numbers helpfully listed by ash59fifty-uk and it came to approx £1052, searched for the Brembo equivalent (2 of discs and sensors) on autodoc.co.uk and it came to approx £620 inc sensors.

Front brake pads: A0074205920
Rear brake pads: A0074209320
Front discs: A0004212012 (360mm)
Rear discs: A2044230412 (330mm)

autodoc parts:
1x Front Pads - P 50 142
1x Rear Pads - P 50 110
2x Front Discs - 09.B769.51
2x Rear Discs - 09.A326.11
2x Wear sensor - A 00 470

i assume I have qty correct to fully replace both axles and assume they are materially the same as OE?

I purchased front discs and pads (OEM) from MB Newcastle.
£140 cheaper than my local MB dealer.
As per OEM items, perfect fit with no messing.
Much firmer than those they replaced (originals), (obviously)

On another note, I've just ordered 10lts oil, filter and sump gasket from them - again, half the price of my local MB dealer (who tried to sell me AMG oil 0w40 at £150 +dreaded)
MB Newcastle are highly recommended from me.
I spoke with Kieran who bespoke added my parts to ebay (with a discount) for me to order. Top lad and worth a phonecall

interesting however if brembo make the merc badged parts then why not just use brembro branded at a significantly lower cost, trying to understand if I’m missing something here
