Can I pick your brains please.
Yesterday I changed my Oil and Filter all went well.
I gave it a run and checked on my return and all looked good. Oil level is correct.
As I spilt a little oil I sprayed with Gunk and washed off?

Today it won’t start. It fires as I turn the key but nothing else. It has fuel to the filter, no warnings showing,
No fault codes recorded.
I sprayed all connections with WD40 but still won’t run.

Then I got the wife to spray some easy start as I cranked and it started and runs like nothing was ever wrong.

Only once a couple of years ago did this happen and then it showed a fault of crank sensor But today nothing.

Any ideas please?
Thanks. Ken

Bit of an update.
I removed and refitted the Battery Connector and it started. Gave it 30 miles with no problems but got home and won’t start again.
No warnings shown

Sorted
it was the camshaft position sensor. I eventually found a fault code.

washing it off must have done something to the sensor.

Glad you got it sorted, was looking like it was going to be an ongoing mysterious fault but you nailed it 👌 👍

Yes
was looking like it could have been expensive but a £35 sensor done it

thanks
