Non starting 280se

Hello everyone. From the start I will say I'm a complete novice, so any help appreciated. I have a 1984 280se mercedes which has sat for 15 years or so. It does turn over but that's it. A couple of people, with more knowledge than me have looked at it and say possible relay or fuel pump. One said when his meter was on the pump it came on for a second or two. I am wondering because off the time sitting idle, do I change both. Any ideas and help appreciated. Thanks Darren

MY guess is that the fuel/injection is gummed up with old fuel-- repair may involve cleaning / stripping down the fuel/injection system- best entrusted to an MB specialist familiar with these cars
