- CLK 230k Convertable
Hi Everyone,
I'm Marc from Bedford and I don't know why, but whenever I buy a car it always turns into some epic quest that seems to take more effort than it should.
Last night I picked up my 1999 CLK 230K Convertible in very dark blue with cream interior.
Was this ebay auction.
Outside is immaculate apart from the one scratch on the drivers door, a small scuff on the front wing and one at the top on the drivers side of the window frame. Will be getting these treated as soon as I've got some cash again
It's got 138k on the clock but a full dealer service history and is probably one of the smoothest cars I've ever driven. Last car I had was a VW Polo GTi on coilovers so pretty much everything is smooth by comparison.
The car has been lowered but only on springs so not too lumpy, I suspect I will probably get some OEM springs at some point to make it standard.
Only other issue is that it needs a really serious clean. Serious, serious clean, the picture is from he auction, not it's current state. I'll take some before and after shots just to show how bad it all is. Gonna get cracking on it this afternoon.
This brings on the question of what's the best thing to clean a cream leather steering wheel that looks grey? Pics to come.
Looking forward to putting the roof off and cruising.
