Not good.....

Read that one this morning - sad that the young person lost his life but yet another example of someone driving well beyond their abilities and with no regard for human life .

Saw that in todays paper...the car was a mess...another life wasted

"The incident happened in the early hours after Rambo took his father's 155mph saloon"

155mph? E270?

145 needs about 8 miles of clear run, downhill with a following wind.

Academic how quick it was / fact is a life lost.

I just wonder how close the scubby was following, I know watching car wars and police interceptors I'm always amazed how close class 1 Advanced drives get to these car theves.

Would they drive that quick if no one right behind them?

Could they have stingered it?

Sad to read

It would appear from the Sun that this was not the first time he had taken a car without their owners permission? quote "Osmanovic had, 24 hours earlier, been arrested for taking a vehicle without consent and bailed pending further enquiries".
So a guy who drives cars without a licence or insurance goes racing on the public highway and gets killed. What would we all be saying if he had crashed into a car carrying an innocent family?

looking at the pic on this page http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-stories/2009/04/17/rambo-dies-in-merc-he-stole-from-dad-115875-21284111/ it looks like a oversteer moment, that becomes a driver side into pole crash - the worst for survivability. From the state of the wheels it may have smacked the kerb very hard first.

Reads like he was ejected from the car, no seatbelt?

I can recall an incident where a group of youngsters wiped out themselves and another driver. The other driver was forgotten quite quickly.

As a society we are sometimes not judgemental enough on some issues.

He was racing the scubby when the police stopped him. The scubby sped off, he panicked and took off after first stopping.

And yes, they would drive that quickly... he was doing so before he was stopped..

At least he only killed himself and not some innocent family

The E270 is powerful but racing it would have been a lark and nothing else.

I wonder how the parents feel knowing that they were not allowed to belt the kid across the rump. A bit hard to drive if your backside feels like a truck hit it. But then that would be some kind of inhumane act which the vegetarians would rally against.

I live virtually opposite the junction where this happened, i see this type of accident regularly in the same spot, maybe 2 or 3 times a week and always young stupid kids driving, normally knicked cars from the estate about a mile away from the junction, i have no sympathy for any of the thieving scumbags that risk other peoples lives by stealing and driving recklessly, it's a pity more are not killed so there is less of them about, sorry if anyone is offended by this remark but if you live by the sword you will die by the sword!!!!!

I get so angry when I watch these 'Police, Camera Action' type programmes and find that after several minutes of watching a car being raced around by some young idiot the poilce catch the driver than the voice-over tells us that the driver got several months in prison if they're unlucky, a ban and a nominal fine!!!!!!..................and joy riders know this all too well

What power do parents have ? None at all. Less than the police.

Parents have the power to influence their children

Parents have the power to teach them right from wrong

BUT.......

NOT when the child is a teenager

Those very first few years of a childs life is when this development is needed.

Spoil the child, give it everything, let it play in a nursery where it caqn take what it wants, when it wants and how it wants will not give a foundation on which to learn how to behave.

This unfortunate young boy had allegedly been arrested previously for driving a motor vehicle but did not see the need to cease doing what they wanted, when they wanted.

A tragic loss of life and thank god no innocent party was involved...... If there was then we would once more being going into a feeding frenzy regarding police persuits and are they necessary.
