Had an S211 in cubanite silver when I joined, though that went in ‘05 and was replaced by a series of BMWs and Audis. There was an S212(250 CDi avantgarde) in there somewhere, but last week I swapped my 235 cabriolet for an E350. So I’m back :)

It’s rubellite red, red roof, saddle brown interior. A not recommended colour combination apparently ☺️ It’s got the premium plus pack, driver assistance pack and some slightly frivolous 20” wheels.... and yes, that’s one the same colour parked next to me, somewhat unexpectedly as I’d never seen one that colour on the road!

Welcome and car looks amazing. I used to have a XJ in a similar colour and was told the same as a not so preferred colour option.. It looks stunning..

Do not worry - there are people with taste who will buy these when they appear on the used car market.

Loving the choice of interior,

Yes great colour combination :)

Thanks everyone... Just had it cleaned and taken a few more pictures. I definitely like it, though the colour changes massively depending on the light. From a burgundy like colour in sunshine to almost brown in the shade And I still think that saddle brown is a better interior colour than black with it!

Very smart , am also not a fan of black interiors, although I must admit to preferring cream interiors despite being harder to keep clean.Luckily in my SLK only two seats and no children!

I do prefer light interiors as a rule, but creamm, or porcelain in the case of the e class, was only available as part of another pack, including air suspension and costing around £3k, which I couldn’t really justify! Also, our MINI has a very pale grey interior, which I like, but wanted something a bit different :)

So the consensus is that rubellite red and saddle brown is on okay combination... yet MB say not recommended!! Though, they are German and do recommend red/black nappa leather...so, I’m not too concerned, given their taste ☺️

Very nice colour combination and lush looking motor. I’ve had a Jaguar in the past with red (cranberry) leather which I was unsure about until it arrived and then loved. Your saddle brown interior looks warm and inviting exactly as it should.

Lovely colour combo!

I’ve just noticed that not only don’t they recommend saddle brown leather with the paintwork, they don’t even think you should order the red roof either! So, all in all I think they’re badly wrong:)

Though, I have to say that on a dull wet morning it looks brown (coordinating nonetheless) and the MINI looks gold. A return to the eighties... I remember the metallic brown (CD only I think) and gold cavaliers being the height of sophistication ;)
