They really don't make them like they used to...

To right !....and the main reason i am in a '97 model (W140) CL500 Coupe....Made like they used to be....nearly 16 years old and not a thing wrong with it and knowing most of its history, nothing much has ever gone wrong with it


PS. the only sound i can hear is the squeaking of my bum on the leather seats...as for the 'Rattle', well that comes from the Missus in the passenger seat !

I often hear a squeeking like that in mine - I put it down to the wooden floorboards they used in early W211s...

Car booked in for two days so they can do a recall and look at the quality issues at the same time. The recall is on the injectors even though another one was already done on them last winter. These recalls and updates keep coming fast and thick.

And another one. Now its the gear stick when I change from third to fourth which has suddenly gone clunky. I am beginning to regret leaving BMW now.

I am giving then the benefit of the doubt. they were good when the car was in for another recall so fingers crossed because I really like the car.
