A spares car is a great idea if u can put it somewhere. Learn to do what u can yourself and find a good specialist for the rest.
Preventitive maintenance rather than reactive..

mmm am thinking of getting the distributor cap checked - never done it myself before, or done anything much to an engine before - think its one to try if I can get the right tools?
