NTG 3 / 3.5 - USB & SD Card format & Max. Size

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know what the drive format should be for SD cards and USB for the NTG 3 / 3.5 system, which is basically the S-class version of the NTG 4 system? I'm guessing its probably the same as that used in the NTG 4 anyway.

I've tried exFAT and NTFS, neither of which seem to work (it says "no playable files"). I can't try FAT32 because the SD card I'm using is 128 GB. I'm trying to get it to work using 1x .mp3 file (song) which is about 5mb in size.

I don't know if I'm going wrong in terms of the size of SD card, or the format. I know FAT32 only supports up to 32GB annoyingly, but if the NTG 3.5 system supports NTFS/exFAT and a bigger SD card size but less than 128GB, then I can buy a different SD card.

NTG3 is different from the NTG3.5, it will have a PCMCIA slot and you can use many different memory card formats with a proper adapter. The usual problem owners have is with SD-HC cards and PCMCIA adapters that only support basic SD cards.

For both head units you can find a list of supported formats from the user manual.
