NTG 4.5 sms query

2013 A207 E Cabriolet with Comand NTG4.5 with linguatronic
When we bought the car in 2016, incoming texts would be announced & we were asked if we wanted the text read out. Accept the offer, the text is read out and we were given the option to reply by reading out a return message.
Since then we have had a maps update and IIRC a firmware update.
Probably since that update we no longer have that automatic reading out of texts & the option to reply.
The manual is next to useless, although I have found an option for the reading out of texts by manual selection.
Am I missing something or has this feature been disabled by the firmware update?

Oh-err thought I had replied to this!

My phone is android (SWMBO is iphone) Both have lost this facility
In the settings on my android I have boxes ticked for:-
Phone calls
Media Audio
Contact sharing
Text messages

No other options available to select.

My NTG4.5 has latest firmware, my phone is Android (S9).

When the text message arrives there's an envelope symbol on the COMAND screen.

Choosing TEL then SMS brings up the message, clicking into the message gets is read-out.

I didn't see any option to automatically read-out text messages on arrival, or to reply to text messages verbally using speech-to-text.

It would be interesting to know if this can be enabled.
