Hello all,
I am in the process of reloading XP on my PC. I have 2 HHD, one for the OS and the programs, one for my files. I have loaded XP on the OS drive, with the other one disconnected. Now, when I connect the 2nd drive the PC does not boot and I get "NTLDR is missing".
Having done a search on the web I understand this is because the 2nd drive is not new but already contains data. I have considered reloading XP with the 2 HDDs connected but then Windows always allocated the C:/ letter to the data drive which I do not want as some programs do not give you an option to choose on which drive to install. And I can't delete the partition on the data drive otherwise I will loose all my files. Has anybody got a suggestion/solution to the problem?
