Just a word of caution to those who post pictures of their cars but with the number plate swirled out.

You've obviously wanted to obscure your number plate but be aware that the same swirl technique you've used to obscure it can be reversed to reveal the number plate.

It is better to use something like, worse-case, Microsoft Paint (comes with all versions of Windows) and either zoom right in and just use a free hand brush or draw a filled rectangle.

Most later versions of it have a 'dropper' where you can select another part of the white or yellow on the plate, and use that to get an exact match before you do either.

Oh my f*cking god it is a national crisis.

Osama is resurrected

It's the end of the world

Labour is back in power

Whatever next?

*pulls hair out*

Wow, you get animated quickly over not a lot...

I don't see any animation in my post.

Just yours...

Trouble is, you aren't allowed to swirl the numbers on your real car...

SO ANYONE PASSING CAN SEE IT!!!!!!

The only answer is burn your plates, and pretend to be the queen.

Animation is defined as quality, liveliness, vivacity and spirit. :thumb:

*waves arms and hands around head* :D

Lol, you boys take a rest and a have a nice cup of tea.

My god, your right. All this time people have blanked their plates on the Internet - it's all been a waste of time.

Now that would be dangerous wouldn't it.

You're just crazy.

Also a good idea to close your eyes on the motorway if you see someone's number plate ;)

..so once everyone burns their plates, the Motorways will be safe again. :thumb:

Wouldn't take much for this guy to '8URN' his number plate...

Admin, please move this post to the How-To section, thanks.

How to properly blank your license plates

Start with the front, like so:

The rear is done on the same way.

Below are some picture of members' cars who successfully blanked their plates:

And here's a failed example, showing how it can all go horribly wrong:

I did a similar thing with one of my old Escorts.

Very safe to use on a motorway now...
