I'm struggling with fixing the left number plate bulb. RHS is fine.
The old bulb had obviously died, and was replaced, but still isn't working. The bulb contacts have been cleaned up & check out OK. I guess the next stop is the rear SAM. New bulb works fine in RHS holder, so I know it's not that.
1. Where do I find the rear SAM? I thought I'd found it near the rear fuse box, but that turned out to be the alarm.
2. Can anyone confirm that power is removed from bulbs that the system decides are faulty? This seems to be the case when testing the right hand number plate bulb.
3. Are there separate fuses for the left & right license plate bulbs? After checking out the fuse box, I think not.
The car is a 2005 CLK500.
Thanks,
Ian.
