Number plate LED`s

It's a funny world.

I just spent £7 to get a yellow filament light bulb for my office because I like the way it looks.

i used bulbs from HIDSdirect, they've been ok so far in my C350 Coupe (c203), i got the 36mm 3x SMD ones with a heatsink fitted on the back, and seem tight enough fit (some others i got first didn't fit)

I did originally want to use the whole unit option, but i couldn't find any to fit the coupe... hence why i have a set of new ones for a w203 saloon sat in their boxes... as i found out to my cost, they're not the same!... oops

Are these the ones that you have?

38mm (239) Festoon 3*1watt Samsung CREE-XPE Chip Canbus Ready LED - Super Bright - HIDS DIRECT LTD Store | HIDS Direct Ltd. for HID Xenon kits, Xenon bulbs, MTEC bulbs, LED's, Car Parts and Air Suspension

How long have they been on? Any issues?

their similar, but not the exact ones, let me see if i can find the packaging and thus a part number

EDIT.
ooo, i lie!.... that is my review of those, so yes, just the 36mm version

Well, I had another bash at it. In the video I linked to.....the guy easily removes a thin strip of trim......on mine, that strip of trim seems to be part of the whole section which encapsulates the light, boot handle and key hole. So to remove that would in my opinion cause damage so I`m drawing a line under it and just buying a pair of 5 SMD LED`s.

It is honestly so much easier than you're thinking, you couldn't damage anything up there if you tried! 10 minute job in and out

I'll have those units please lol

I think they will fit a 209 as it's based on a 203

I`ve now simply fitted a pair of LED bulbs :)

I`ll post a pic later of the problem I had, trying to fit the complete units.

sorry, only just seen this.

I'll get a for sale thread up with some pictures so you can see if they will be suitable for your car, and then post the link back here
