the sensor came on the dash telling me to replace bulb, i have and its now working but display keeps coming up on the dash? and now for both left and right?

Somebody better placed will surely come on and advise, and I know it's not the same car, but for the W124 the warning light that covers all external lights bar the rear fog I think, is really sensitive to the wrong wattage bulbs being fitted. On your car might it be the same?

These threads may or may not help worth a look though

There's probably something wrong with the electrics, these cars have CANBUS and rear SAM modules and other bits, someone more knowledgeable will surely come along soon!

The system seems to work because there are two lamps, and trips if the current does not come back equal. Not all exterior bulbs are covered e.g. apparently none for side indicator repeaters. The rear fog is a single unit... What about the high-level centre brake lamp?

Did you replace the lamp with one identical to the other, same wattage?
