Number plate mounting, W204

I find the chunky, grey number-plate mounting on the front bumper of my W204 C63 rather unsightly. It's also cracked, which is upsetting my OCD, It occurred to me, surely someone must make a slimmer one? Alternatively, is there a source for number plates which are flexible enough to bend to follow the shape of the bumper and be fixed on without using screws?

At one stage you could get aluminium number plates made up which you can bend relatively easily. Not sure if the latest regulation change has outlawed them.
Failing that, gentle use of a hot air gun will allow you to bend an acrylic plate.
