Numberplate removal

Hi I'm just trying to remove my plates anyone done this type before it looks like the 2 holes go all the way through
Any help appreciated

With a standard dining knife, prise the too half towards you. Do the same on the other side and you will see what needs to be done next

I didn't want to break it i see there are hindges on top and bottom thanks ill have a go

The top half has 2x little pegs which clip into bottom half.

Ether top corner prise it forward

You can buy a key to open these. The plate holders are made by Wurth and are supposed to be opened with the key.

Two small flat screwdrivers will work but may slightly enlarge the holes.

I replaced the holders on mine as one of the clips had broken. I expect the dealer swapped plates a few times before I picked it up and never used the key.

Go on, what method did you use?

Pull the top out slightly and then flick the bottom out was a bit stiff as they've been on 3 years but gently work across pulling the lip ,easier than i expected
