Hi all, back in the land of Merc' after a brief hiatus... Picked up yesterday from a dealer 80 miles away and near home the EML light came on. The following is the list of points of note, I've highlighted back to the dealer.
Engine cooling fan on constantly – reported to & noted by ********** on day of purchase.
Engine Warning Light illuminated – reported to and recorded by *****. Authorised to have an OBD read by my local (anon) garage. Recorded fault emailed previously with photo attachment detailing:
“P06DA00 – The actuation of the valve of the oil pump in the combustion engine has an electrical fault or an open circuit. There is a General Failure. Current , Pending.”
The air conditioning does not work all the time. Intermittent cooling but mainly blowing warm, not hot, air.
The reading lights do not illuminate.
The interior lights in the boot do not illuminate when the tailgate is opened.
Poss’ faulty tyre pressure sensor, drivers side rear.
A quick search on an MB forum suggests points 1 & 3 COULD be related.
The dealer has offered to cover the cost pf the read & the diagnosis of the AC issue. My local indy, & good for them, has managed to survive the covid intact and is quite busy so can't get round to digging deeper into the above until middle of next week which I'd rather not have to wait for.
Do the details above sound bad enough to consider returning the car as I'm nervous about driving it right now.
Apologies for the long post & thanks in advance for your indulgence...
(Other than the above, really is a LOVELY car)!
