obd port

Hi i do not seem to have a OBD port on my 1998 CLK 230 w208 the flap is there but is moulded into the under panel behind the bonnet catch, it is part of the panel and would have to be cut out to become a flap , so i have removed the complete panel and looked for the OBD port that may have been tucked out of the way but nothing there .
I know that is were m/b put them but could it be some were else thanks for any ideas

are you looking in or outside the vehicle,its under the bonnet on anything before 2000,its a 30 odd pin plug

A circular one that looks nothing like an OBD port.

thats the one,you will need a wiring loom to fit the obd and fit your reader

There is only 3 wires inside that adaptor that are connected by the way.
Also you may need to remove the outer housing of the adaptor to make it fit through the round whole in the engine, otherwise you will need to unscrew the main cover.
