On my 212 I've noticed that sometimes, if I'm on my own driving, I get the Passenger airbag malfunction warning on the dash.....but if there is a person in the Passenger seat I don't get the warning. My guess is a fault with the seat occupancy sensor.....but does any one have any other ideas or experience. Any easy fix or workaround? Cheers.

IIRC The passenger airbag light is always on when the seat doesn’t have a bottom parked in it. The light indicates the airbag is inoperative in case a rear facing child seat is in place.

That's the orange light for the passenger air bag. I think the OP is talking about a red(?) SRS warning on the instrument cluster?

The Front Passenger Seat Occupancy Sensor is indeed a common fault, parts and labour it's around £250-£300 to fix. There's a cheapo Chinese emulator that you can buy off eBay for a tenner or so, but I wouldn't recommend it.

The other common issue is the seat belt buckle mechanism, a bit cheaper to fix, probably around £150-£200.

The car will need to be scanned with STAR (or iCarsoft) to confirm.

Nope....neither!. No warning lights just the text message in the speedo.

I looked out of interest.....emulators for other models are sub £10....but the 212 version is closer to £40 or £50!

If you cannot live with it (I dislike intensely anything that doesn't work as intended) then a session with Star / Xentry is the way forward.

Oh yes. I had Start/Stop fixed on my W204, only to then disable it every time I set off. I hate the thing, but if it's fitted to the car, then it must be fully working (so that I turn it off....).
