Why not just get the leather redone in black.

What shift knob do you already have? The button/badge is replaceable on the shifter you know? Otherwise the shiftknob is only about £30 from the parts dept, badge is about £5 :)

Right now i have a regular black leather shift knob with the mercedes logo on top. I need the whole knob because the leather around the button/badge is wearing out. I need the part # for the shift knob and button please...

Please keep in mind that i live in the u.s. ..i am unsure if they sell the knob here in the states...

I went to the dealers here in the u.s. and they want me to give them a vin # for the shift knob. I went searching for a 94-00 w202 with a elegance shift knob, but doesn't seem liek they sell that shift knob or model in the us. If i can't get it here, is there a place in europe that would be willing to ship me this item? I don't konw anything about changing the button/badge and neither did the dealership. That seems really easy to do, but where can i get the button/badge at? Is there a part #?

Please keep in mind that i live in the U.S. You euro's seem to be alot more helpful.
By the way, I just got back from amsterdam , best time of my life =)
Thanks

I have a used gear shift knob in very good condition matching the description you are looking for (Black leather / Elegance) - which was previously fitted to my car (have gone through another few since then - I get bored with them easily !) Its in storage at the moment, as I'm about to move house, but if you are still looking in a couple of weeks then let me know, and I'm sure we can work something out !

I don't think these part numbers will match u.s. part #'s...or will they?
What is the part number for the "classic" star button?
I didn't even know the shift knobs came with so many different options.
Now that i've seen them all, i want the classic one out of all. So can i please have the part # if they have it here in the us. Thanks Shude =)

Those part numbers are accessory numbers, they should work anywhere in the world. I can't find a part number for the "classic" button! I guess it's not a popular after-market accessory, although there obviously is such a button. I will ask the stealership.

I will see what the prices of the parts and postage work out to, right now the USD is poor against GBP so it might sound expensive to you.
