Shame really since the 171 facelift is growing on me but there is no way that thing will, it looks like its been driven backwards through a branch of halfords.

A fat SLK, does look smaller. The front is dreadful...not at all elegant....and then six months on the market and having got used to it, I shall say oooooh, lovely car.... as I did with the CLS

the current SL face is much much better .. this is just like a Holden, a Chevrolet or some brand with no design heritage.
