I recently filled my engine with oil on my W123 200e and forgot to put the cap back on (idiot) needless to say the oil spread everywhere, can I jet wash the bay to remove the mess? Thanks

Yes, as long as you know how to get the car running again afterwards.

If it is everywhere you need to get a spray degreaser and a brush. Try not to fill alternator and pulleys with degreaser. Give it it good spray when warm agitate it a brush and hose it off. Jet wash can force water into electrics but you should be fine just allow it to dry out.

Yes, i jetwashed my engine......just give the car a long run afterwards to thoroughly dry out the engine electrics, etc

why dont you try a proper "detailer" - there are a few good ones on this forum - I would imagine they've come across this sort of problem more than once - you may well need  after
