Hi everyone,

I noticed the oil sump was a bit wet and decided to take it off, clean it and seal it up as there is no gasket for the sump.
The technical data says this engines take 9L of oil with a new oil filter but when i put 9L the computer in the car said to add another 2L
I added one more litre of oil as when taking the sump off it's normal that you'll get a bit more than 9L of oil coming out.
Now that the car has 10L of oil the computer still says to add 1.5L more
I don't know what to do as having too much oil is just as bad as having no oil.
What do you guys recommend i do?

I have changed the oil many times on this car and it normally takes 9l

Comma Oil site also states 9l

When the sump was off did you check the level probe for damage , did you check it was reading zero before re filling ? Seems odd that you have change the oil many times so you know how much goes in and it's asking for more.

I don't think having 11.5 litres in there when you know it takes 9 is going to end well. I would drain it and start again. Does the V12 have a dipstick tube ?
