Oil coming on intermittently

Oil light coming on intermittently

And then it goes off again...

I've checked the oil level and its 3/4 of the way between min and max, so I would have thought thats fine.

Or has anyone else seen this happen just because the oil level is not at max?

BTW. Does this oil light just measure oil level or is it oil pressure or something?

What model is it? C250TD?

The oil warning light is for low oil pressure only, could be a faulty pressure switch, best to get it checked.

If it is not the switch it could need an oil change???
