Oil level has risen?

I checked the oil yesterday, and the level seems to have risen since before. The car was parked on level ground when I checked it.

I had the oil changed about 1300 miles ago, and the level was filled to just under the maximum. Yesterday, it was just over maximum and I haven't added any oil since it was changed.

The oil looked clean, and no different to when I last checked.

Could I have misread it, or is there a reason the leve could rise?

Ah right, when I checked it yesterday the engine had been switched off for about 10 mins after driving 15 miles.

I think it was probably a little cooler before.

hope not but did the oil looked like pure oil, no antifreeze , Head Gasket i mean but hope not

It may be worth getting a bit of the oil drawn out. With the 320 engines (I believe) there was a service advisory reducing the amount of oil in the engine to preserve cylinder head gaskets.

There's no real need to run with maximum oil and always best to leave a little room for expansion/error when filling it up
